Iowa is located in the mid-western region of the United States of America. The winter months are fairly cold with temperatures dropping down to as low as an average of 52°F, however this summer months are fairly warm with temperatures rising to 90°F and sometimes even exceeding 100°F. During the summer the temperature of the water is ideal for all boat owners, which is one of the main reasons why Iowa is one the better states for boat owners. Pilot is a very good fishing state with various spots to fish. One of the most popular fish found in all waters and Iowa is walleyes. The most popular place to fish for this particular type of fish is the big creek lake which is just outside of Polk city. For quite awhile this lake was not allowed to be used for fish and due to all the problems that it has had, however it is allowed to be used as a fishing area now. Big creek lake is ideal for all anglers who are on the hunt for walleye fish. There are some strict rules for fishing at this lake, including rules that delete select all limit for how many fish you can catch in keep every day in some of this is based on the size of the fish.
