Maine is located in the North East region of the United States of America. Maine is not one of the hottest climate states in America. Summer temperatures in Maine rarely reach 80°F and the winters are very cold with temperatures dropping as even lower then 0°F. The hottest city in Maine is Portland and the winter months in Portland are not nearly as severe as they are in Caribou. If you are someone who lives in Maine or visits Maine frequently, you may be interested in buying a boat in Maine. If you are someone who visits Maine regularly, then you can always choose to buy a boat and store it when not in use then take it out whenever you are visiting Maine on vacation in the summer months.
However, there are a lot of states which are a lot better for boat owners, mostly down South like Florida and California but Maine is a very good state when it comes to fishing.
