Inboard ski boats look much like bowriders, but underneath the water, the shape of the hull and the configuration and placement of the engine, propeller and drive shaft cause these boats to throw a very slight wake, making it easy for the skier to cross. They accelerate rapidly to 'pop' skiers from the water and turn very crisply making recovering a downed skier easy.
